CHICAGO - Orlando Predators offensive lineman Terrence Campbell has been named the AFL Pulse Player of the Week for his recent philanthropic efforts.

Campbell (6-3, 305, South Carolina), who is in his first full season with the Predators and his second in the AFL, recently visited the Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

"The Children's Hospital was one of my favorite experiences because I was able to go from room to room visiting with all of the kids," Campbell said. "It was a blessing being able to talk to them and to put a smile on their faces."

In addition, he has also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Eatonville.

"I grew up going through the Boys and Girls Club program as a kid so I know a lot of what they are going through," Campbell said.

While Campbell enjoys various types of community service, he is most passionate about helping children.

"Whenever you get a chance to sit down and talk to these kids and impact their lives it's important because they sometimes need someone to motivate them to follow their dreams," Campbell said.

As a professional athlete, Campbell understands how important it is to make an impact in his community.

"We're truly blessed to be in a position where we can impact the lives of others and act as role models to our fans," Campbell said.

The Orlando Predators (3-2) will host the Tampa Bay Storm (3-2) Saturday night in the 54th edition of the "War on I-4". Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The AFL Pulse Player of the Week is awarded in recognition of commitment to community service. The AFL Pulse Al Lucas Hero of the Year will be awarded to one player at the end of the 2014 season.
