Orlando Valkyries Announce Inaugural Season Roster

ORLANDO, Fla. -The Orlando Valkyries, a member team in the Pro Volleyball Federation, officially announced the final roster for the upcoming inaugural 2024 season. The active roster consists of 14 players selected based on their skills, experience, competition level, and performance in training camp. Additionally, two players have been selected and designated as practice players. Fans can catch the action live and support the team at the inaugural season home opener on January 26 at 7 p.m. at Addition Financial Arena, where the Valkyries will face off against the Atlanta Vibe.
"The process of determining the final roster ahead of our home opener was not an easy one, but I am confident that we have put together a strong team that will compete right away at the highest level," said Amy Pauly, Head Coach of the Valkyries. "All of these athletes have worked incredibly hard to be where they are today, and I look forward to seeing them put on our show for our fans!"

The roster was finalized following training camp that began on Thursday, January 4, and recently ended on Sunday, January 21. The team invited twenty players to camp, ranging from a diverse group of collegiate All-Americans to Olympians. Of those twenty players, five were acquired during the college player draft, including Abby Hansen, who played in the home arena of the Valkyries as a student-athlete on the University of Central Florida women's volleyball team. Fifteen free agents were brought in to round out the twenty who participated in a three-week camp consisting of workouts and practice sessions to prepare for the inaugural season.
