Orlando Pride News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Pride defender Konya Plummer has been loaned to Swedish side AIK, it was announced today. The Jamaican international will join AIK immediately and the loan will run through November 15, 2021.
"Konya is a unique talent with a lot of potential, and consistent playing time is needed for that potential to be realized. We believe this opportunity with AIK will empower her to both show what she has to offer today, while growing into the player she has the ability to become," Orlando Pride General Manager Ian Fleming said." We look forward to watching her in Sweden over the next three months."
Selected No. 10 overall in the 2020 NWSL Draft out of the University of Central Florida, Plummer has made seven appearances with the Pride, including two in both last year's Fall Series and the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup.
TRANSACTION: Defender Konya Plummer loaned to AIK through November 15, 2021.
