Orlando City B News Release

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Orlando City B (1-1-1, 3 points) and Fort Lauderdale CF (1-2-1, 4 points) had their first encounter in USL League One play on Friday night, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw at Osceola Heritage Park.

In the 12th minute, the game was paused due to a weather delay with both teams being able to resume play after two hours and six minutes.

For the second-consecutive game, Wilfredo Rivera opened the scoreboard for the Lions in the 22nd minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box that deflected and found the bottom left corner, past Fort Lauderdale goalkeeper Dylan Castanheira.

The game would then be equalized in the 39th minute after Fort Lauderdale forward Ricky Lopez-Espin blocked OCB goalkeeper Austin Aviza's clearance from inside the box and the ball went straight into goal.

The Lions see a quick turnaround for their next match, hosting FC Tucson in just four days on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Kickoff for that match is slated for 7 p.m. ET at Osceola County Stadium.
