Orlando City B Falls to North Texas in Final Home Match

MONTVERDE, Fla. - Orlando City B (3-17-4, 13 points) fell to league leaders North Texas SC (14-5-5, 47 points) by a score of 3-1 in the final home game of the season at Montverde Academy.

North Texas opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with defender John Nelson pouncing on a rebound to score from close range. North Texas had a chance to double early in the second half via a penalty, but OCB goalkeeper Christian Herrera was able to make the save and keep OCB in the game.

OCB was able to tie the game in the 53rd minute when defender Brandon John was able to head in the corner taken by Lucas Ontivero. The goal was John's first of the season, with Ontivero picking up his first assist in the process.

North Texas responded immediately with forward Ronaldo Dumas scoring what ended up being the game winning goal in the 54th minute. Dumas was able to score his second of the night in the 70th minute when he was able to convert a penalty to double North Texas's lead.

Next Match: Orlando City B begins its four-game road trip to close out the season with a match at Toronto FC II on Friday, Sept. 13. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET at Ontario Soccer Centre.
