
Orioles Trade Wallace to Toronto

The Baltimore Orioles have traded Norfolk first baseman Brett Wallace to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations.
Wallace, 28, hit .265 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 90 games for the Tides this season. He played 72 games at first base for Norfolk, and was tied for the team lead with 50 runs scored.
The Orioles also announced that RHP Tim Alderson and LHP Randy Wolf have been released.
Alderson, 25, went 2-4 with a 6.12 ERA in 28 relief outings for the Tides this season. Wolf, 37, posted a 4.20 ERA in six games (one start) for Norfolk after joining the club on June 24.
