Stockton, CA - Oct. 22, 2007 - The California Cougars officially announce the promotions of two key team members in their front office. Dusty Druffel is promoted to Director of Sales. Silvia Lomeli is promoted to Director of Corporate Sales.
Druffel is a 2005 graduate of Washington State University and is a double major with a degree in Psychology and Sports Management, he also minored in Business. Druffel heads the Cougars' efforts in both ticketing and advertising. He is also the Cougars' game day operations coordinator.
Lomeli previously served as the Cougars' Special Events Coordinator. She was instrumental in the promotion of both Stars of Mexico events in 2007. She will still be involved in special events hosted by the Cougars, but her primary responsibilities will focus on corporate sales and generating new business relationships for the Cougars.
Celina Rodriguez assumes the role of Director of Operations. Rodriguez has the longest tenure of any staff member having been with the team since its inception. Second only to head coach Bernie Lilavois. Rodriguez's current duties expand to also include handling relations with the Stockton Arena and its staff.
Fundraising Coordinator Nicole Gowan expands her role to also include Community Relations.
The Cougars' feel their front office is as strong as ever and is poised for a great season with increased sales.
