NHL Central Scouting rated Ryan O'Reilly of the Erie Otters eighth in the Ontario Hockey League in the preliminary rankings for the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft released today. O'Reilly leads the Otters in scoring with three goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 22 games. The second-year forward, who was taken first overall in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection, was recently added to the roster for the Team OHL game against the Russians being played Thursday night in Guelph. The 17 year-old native of Varna, Ontario has collected 22 goals and 50 assists for 72 points in 83 career OHL games. John Tavares of the Oshawa Generals is listed first in the OHL rankings followed by Matt Duchene of the Brampton Battalion and Nazem Kadri of the London Knights.
