Orange County Buzz win in summer pro league debut

Westchester, CA. The start of the ABA Summer Pro League was a good one for the Orange County Buzz of the American Basketball Association as they ran away with a 145-126 victory over the ABA Pros. Led by Tyrone Merriweather's 32 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocked shots and Eric Holme's 36 points, 7 assists, the Buzz cruised to an easy victory. As Coach Burrel Lee III stated, "We had a good win even though we were sloppy with the ball, but considering it was our first game with this unit, we should be fine the rest of the way."
The Buzz have games scheduled against the 9 Sports Team as well as Beijing Aoshen of the Chinese Basketball Association at the All American Sports Center in Anaheim. The Beijing Aoshen are here in the US fine tuning themselves for their upcoming season and are pleased to be playing against one of the ABA's premiere teams. You can catch them in action on Friday, August 12th at 730pm for their final match up against the Buzz before they head back to China.
