Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

The Corpus Christi Sharks are ready to get their third season underway this Saturday night at the American Bank Center against division rival Rio Grande Valley. Over the past two seasons these two teams have collided six times and have developed a strong dislike for one another on the field. That dislike has boiled over at times and led to a number of "Post Play Extracurricular Activity". The rivalry between these two teams is quickly becoming one of the most heated in the af2. For 2009, the heat gets turned up a bit more with Saturday's game being the first of four regular season meetings between the two teams.

To help give Corpus Christi that extra bit of Home Field Advantage, the Sharks have teamed up with the Caller Times for Family Night. Fans can purchase 4 tickets to the game for only $32, normally a $54 value.

Prior to the game, the Sharks invite fans to the Railroad Street Seafood Company, N. Chaparral and Power St., just down the street from the American Bank Center, for the Official Sharks Pre-Game Party. Fans can meet the Lady Sharks and receive half off appetizers as well as great drink specials when they show their game tickets.

Sharks Vice President and General Manager Larry Linde today also announced additions to the Sharks front office staff. Paul Beaudoin joins the organization as Director of Corporate Sales, Nicole Linde is the teams newest Corporate Account Representative, and Samantha Thomas comes to the organization as Office Manager.

Make sure you are part of all the Opening Night Festivities. Kickoff is at 7:05pm with ceremonial coin toss being made by Mayor Henry Garrett.
