Tijuana Dragons News Release

Tijuana, Mexico. It has been a long season with players in and out of the program, but the Dragons have found ways to keep thousands of fans interested with a lot of competitive home games and exciting finishes. In spite of a difficult season, one of our players, Maurice Riddick, a 6'3" guard has proven to be a major attribute to the organization by averaging 25.7 ppg and shhoting 45.2% from 3 pt land and also average 2.4 steals per game. With his ball handling skills, speed and athleticism, he is a sure prospect for the next level.

Another important part of our team is our 24.1 ppg, 9.3 rpg 6'9" center, Gene Shipley. His size and strength and ability to score in the post has been a dominant force in the paint for the team. In addition to these two players, veteran Harold Arceneaux proved once again to be a force to reckon with for any opponent having had several 37 pt games. He was a monster inside and out giving us crucial rebounds, 3-pointers, free throws, blocks and power post moves. We will add other strong players next season.

And we hope to return next year with a stronger team. As for now, we give thanks to our sponsors and our fans for supporting us throughout this season and making Tijuana a team ABA teams wanted to play because of the excitement you generated. We are deeply appreciative of your support and will make you proud. And we want to thank all of the other ABA teams who made a great effort to accomodate us on the road and for providing such great competition at our home games. This was a fun season for us - and we wish you well - and are letting you know - the Tijuana Dragons are going to be very tough next season. Thank you. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
