Open Cage Nights With Charity Butler

The Pelicans Training Academy announces today that professional softball player Charity Butler will begin Open Cage Batting Workouts each week for the remainder of the fall school semester. The event begins Monday, October 26, 2009 and will continue every Monday evening through Dec. 14th. Butler will be available at the Pelicans Training Academy located at 4920 N Davis Highway from 6:30 - 8:30P.M.

This program is designed for softball players at any level and age who wish to improve their batting skills for the quickly approaching spring softball season. The "Open Cage" format allows athletes to freely come and go at any point within the two hours and work out at their own pace. Butler will float from cage to cage offering individual hitting critique and suggest helpful techniques and drills. Cost is $20 for up to two hours of hitting and professional tips and instruction.

Charity Butler, an experienced area softball instructor, is a former Tate High School softball player. She has recently returned from playing Professional Fast Pitch Softball in Sweden where her team won the National Championship. Charity also played two seasons professionally in the U.S. with the Michigan Ice. Her college career at Southern Miss was complete with numerous hitting awards as well as other scholastic and athletic honors.
