
Omaha turns back Extreme, 47-29

Omaha quarterback James McNear threw for two touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns to lead the Beef to a 47-29 victory over the Bloomington Extreme before 5,081 people Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in United Indoor Football action.
The loss dropped the Extreme's record to 3-4 ahead of its next game April 26 at Sioux City at 7:05 p.m. Omaha, which defeated Bloomington for the second time this season, improved to 5-2.
McNear completed 21 of 27 passes for 173 yards, while R.J. Rollins rushed for 59 yards on nine carries and one touchdown. Kenny Horton led the Beef receivers with 67 yards on four catches and Javon Bell added 58 yards on six receptions.
Bloomington quarterback Freddie Ray, playing in place of the injured Dusty Burk, completed 7 of 14 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. James Walton led the Extreme with three catches for 49 yards and one touchdown. Ray was the team's leading rusher with 35 yards on seven carries.
Carlos Lattimore and Terrill Mayberry were the Extreme tackle leaders with 9.5 each.
