Omaha Beef Round out Solid Offensive Line

The Omaha Beef are excited to welcome back James Poynter and Ron Jackson to their offensive line for the 2009 season. The Beef will also be gaining the additions of seasoned veterans Mike Erickson and Jake Gable. With these additions, the Beef should have one of the most effective offensive lines in the IFL.
Poynter, a 6'2" 300 lb native of Plainview, Nebraska will be returning for his third season with the Beef in 2009. He has been a mainstay on the offensive line for several seasons. His leadership qualities have been a great contribution to the entire team.
Jackson, the 6'4" 319lb, Antioch, Nebraska native will be returning to play his second season with the Beef. Jackson also brings a wealth experience and leadership to what should be one of the league's strongest offensive lines.
At 6'4" 305 lb, Erickson joins the Beef with extensive professional experience. After one game with the Beef, the impressive Erickson was called up to the AFL. He spent the rest of the 2008 season with the New York Dragons.
At 6'3" 295lb, Gable who is a native of Papillion-LaVista, will round out the offensive line. In 2008, he gained experience with the former United Indoor Football League (UIFL) with the Colorado Ice.
" With the addition of Gable and Erickson along with our veteran's from last year, the level of competition will surpass any that we've ever had in my tenure with the Omaha Beef," said Head Coach, James Kerwin.
With a combined weight of 1,219 pounds, the 2009 Omaha Beef offensive line will undoubtedly be both an intimidating and immovable force. These unsung heroes will help provide a solid foundation for a championship run in 2009.
The BEEF are celebrating their 10th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, NE. Home games are played March through June. All home games start at 7:00pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America.
