Seattle Reign FC News Release
TACOMA, Wash. - OL Reign has re-signed forward Jasmyne Spencer through the 2022 season, the club announced today. Per league and club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"It is very good to have Jasmyne back with us next season," said OL Reign head coach Farid Benstiti. "In the Challenge Cup she showed her return from injury is complete, and that she can be a dangerous player for us in the attack. I am very glad she will be with us in 2021."
Spencer completed her third year with OL Reign in 2020, having joined from Orlando City ahead of the 2018 season. The forward made her return from injury with the club at the NWSL Challenge Cup, having missed nearly all of 2019 with a torn ACL.
Spencer made seven appearances for OL Reign between the Challenge Cup and the Fall Series, starting four matches and playing 319 minutes. She recorded an assist in the club's 2-2 draw against Utah in the latter competition.
In addition to her work on the pitch, Spencer is known for being the creator of Jas It Up Sports, a socially and environmentally sustainable clothing line.
"It's been a crazy couple of years, but I'm so excited to be back with OL Reign," Spencer said. "It feels good to be heading into the 2021 season at full force. We're going to achieve big things this season both on and off the field."
