Oklahoma Cavalry Participating In Comanche Nation Fair

LAWTON, OKLA.-- Oklahoma Cavalry professional CBA basketball team will join in on the 16th Annual Comanche Nation Fair festivities this Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Comanche Nation Tribal Complex, 584 NW Bingo Road.

Everyone is invited to come and meet Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson, members of the Cavs Dance Team and staff at the fair on Saturday. Coach Richardson will help referee the 3-on-3 basketball tournament starting at 8 a.m. and hand out awards to the participants. The Cavs will also ride in the parade beginning at 10 a.m.

A booth will be set up on the east side of the complex, and everyone in attendance is welcome to stop by and meet the Oklahoma Cavalry staff. Merchandise will be available for sale, and information on season tickets and the team will be on hand as well.

Tribal Administrator Johnny Wauqua said he is excited to have the Oklahoma Cavalry take part in this year's fair.

"We are happy to have the Oklahoma Cavalry basketball team participating in this year's Comanche Nation 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament as well as the parade," Mr. Wauqua said. "Please come out to visit the Oklahoma Cavalry booth and join us as we celebrate during our 16th Annual Comanche Nation Fair."

Many activities are planned for the fair, which started last Saturday, Sept. 22 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 30, and Mr. Wauqua said he hopes everyone in the community will come out and enjoy the festivities.

"We will have many activities geared toward the enjoyment of families," Mr. Wauqua said. "All activities are free and open to the public, and we invite everyone to attend."

Other events this weekend include a pow-wow, dog racing, horse racing, bull-riding, horseshoe contest, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, co-ed softball tournament and much more. A list of all events can be found at www.comanchenation.com.
