RedHawks Continue Series Against New Orleans-- The RedHawks are in the midst of an eight-game stretch against NOLA...OKC scored a 7-5 win yesterday...The RedHawks lead the series at Zephyr Field 2-0...the clubs finish up the series at Zephyr Field tonight and tomorrow before returning to Bricktown for the final four games of the regular season...New Orleans owns a 6-4 advantage in the season series, winning the previous two sets...the August 29th meeting marked the first game between the two since June 20...

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- RedHawks pitcher Xavier Cedeno (10G, 2GS, 2-2, 7.65 ERA) makes his third start for OKC since joining the club on August 2nd...Cedeno is 2-1 with an ERA of 9.00 in eight appearances as a reliever for the RedHawks, and 0-1 with an even 6.00 ERA as a starter...the lefty made 19 starts with the AA-Corpus Christi Hooks...he set a Hooks strikeout record with 14 over 6.2 innings against Frisco on June 27...Zephyrs' starter Darin Downs (9G, 4GS, 2-2, 5.53 ERA) will make his first start against OKC...Downs is coming off a losing decision against Omaha...he allowed seven runs in five innings against the Storm Chasers...his last win came against Reno on August 14...

Last Game: August 30 - Oklahoma City RedHawks 7, New Orleans Zephyrs 5-- The RedHawks scored another come-from-behind win with a two-run rally in the eighth...Chris Johnson hit the go-ahead home run to start the frame...Drew Locke gave OKC their first lead with a two-run homer as part of a four-run third inning...the Zephyrs got a pair of round-trippers from Jorge Padilla and Chris Coghlan...OKC starter Dallas Keuchel allowed five runs in 5.2 innings, but did not factor in the decision...Sammy Gervacio improved to 4-0 by tossing a scoreless seventh...Jose Valdez pitched the ninth to record his seventh save...

Hernandez Streak at 28, PCL's Longest in 2011-- Andrson Hernandez increased his PCL-best hitting streak to 28 games with a third inning double...he finished last night's game 1x5...Hernandez has posted a .390 (48x123) average during the streak, raising his season pace from .277 to .305...The streak is the longest by an OKC player since the franchise joined the Pacific Coast League in 1998, and changed their name from 89ers to RedHawks....The PCL record for consecutive games batted safely in a single season is 61 by Joe DiMaggio of San Francisco May 28-July 25, 1933...

Finish Strong-- RedHawks outfielder Drew Locke has recorded a strong month of August, hitting at a .358 (34x95) pace...Locke went 3x5 with a home run and two RBI last night...Locke has eight doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI in August...the 26 RBI are four shy of his combined total for the previous four months, and rank as the highest monthly total in his AAA career...Locke belted three home runs (including a grand slam) and drove in 12 in two games against Tucson Aug. 8-9...Locke is batting .326 since the All-Star break, skyrocketing his season average from .236 to .274.

These are the Good Times-- The RedHawks won their season-best sixth in a row with a 7-5 decision over NOLA last night...OKC won five straight twice before, the last being a victorious stretch from July 4-July 9...Since a series split with Las Vegas (Aug. 3-6), the RedHawks are 15-7, and have won three out of five series, splitting the other two...a win tonight or tomorrow against the Zephyrs clinches another series win...Round Rock has already claimed the American Southern division, eliminating the RedHawks from the postseason for the first time since 2009.

What a Relief!-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks bullpen has dealt 13 consecutive scoreless innings, spanning five games...during this stretch, Jose Valdez and Jeff Fulchino have combined for four consecutive saves...Valdez notched his seventh save last night, and is two shy of David Carpenter's team-leading nine...the last run an OKC reliever allowed was an eighth inning home run by Mickey Storey against Iowa on Aug. 26...

Too Close for Comfort-- The RedHawks have played in 53 one-run games in 2011, posting a 28-25 (.528) record in one run finals, the sixth best percentage in the PCL...The RedHawks are tied for the most one-run victories with Sacramento, but they own the second most one-run losses in the league...New Orleans ranks seventh, just behind OKC with a 23-22 (.511) record in one-run games...

Del Rosario Continues Rehab Assignment-- Astros reliever Enerio Del Rosario has started a rehabilitation assignment with the RedHawks, recovering from a left shoulder strain...Del Rosario has made two appearances for OKC, tossing two scoreless innings...he allowed one hit in each...Del Rosario was placed on the 15-day disabled list August 6...In 44 games with Houston, Del Rosario is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA (23ER/46.0IP)...
