
OKC Energy FC Signs Javier Castro

OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC has signed of Javier Castro, general manager Jason Hawkins announced today. The signing is pending league and USSF approval.
Castro appeared in seven matches and totaled 17 points for the LA Misioneros in the USL PDL this season. He scored seven goals and had three assists in 490 minutes played.
He played collegiately at UCSB and had three goals in 16 appearances for the Gauchos during the 2012 season.
Castro won consecutive community college championships at Mt. San Antonio College and was the 2010 South Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was named to the NSCAA All-Region team twice and a Sueño MLS finalist in 2009 and 2010. He tallied 23 goals and 21 assists in two season as the Mounties were ranked No. 1 in the final 2011 NSCAA poll and had a 38-game undefeated streak.
Castro played for the Arsenal FC Academy and LA Galaxy U20 team and appeared in several friendlies against the Mexico U17 national team. He attended International Polytechnic High School.
