The Cup Is Coming, The Cup Is Coming!

(21-30-3, 45 Points 4th Northwest Division)

Stanley Visit: The Tulsa Oilers play three home games this weekend, highlighted by the Stanley Cup visit, presented by U.S. Cellular. The Oilers host the Mississippi RiverKings Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. U.S. Cellular will present the Stanley Cup at the Oilers games Friday against the Amarillo Gorillas and Saturday against the Wichita Thunder. The games Friday and Saturday start at 7:35 p.m.

Great Week: The Oilers are riding a two game winning streak, after back-to-back road wins this weekend. The Oilers defeated Mississippi 4-3 on Friday and won 3-2 in Oklahoma City Saturday. Those followed a 5-3 setback in Wichita on Tuesday.

Very Natty: Goaltender Jeff Van Nynatten played all three games for the Oilers last week. He stopped 66 of 71 shots (.930 save percentage) in the two wins.

Lucky 13: Jeff Christian, who earlier this season established a CHL high 24 game point scoring streak, is now on a 13 game point scoring streak. He has six goals and 16 assists for 22 points in the current 13 game streak. Christian has notched points in 39 of the Oilers last 41 games.

Fine Nine: Warren McCutcheon has also continued his point streak. He has points in nine straight games for the Oilers. McCutcheon has six goals and eight assists in the last nine games.

Nice Run: Defenseman Mike Looby also continued a nice streak through the first two games last week. He had one goal and six assists in six straight games until being held off the scoresheet Saturday night.
