
Oilers Make Roster Move

TULSA, OK- The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League have signed forward Doug Pirnak to a contract, head coach Garry Unger announced today.
Pirnak will be making his fourth stint in an Oilers uniform when he suits up tonight. He played the '99-'00 and '00-'01 seasons and seven games last year with Tulsa. Besides Tulsa, Pirnak has played in Fayetteville, Huntsville, Fort Worth and Oklahoma City, appearing in 230 games and totaling 70 points on 26 goals and 44 assists. He has also amassed 686 penalty minutes.
To make room for Pirnak on the roster, the Oilers waived forward Carey Ernewein. Ernewein played in six games this season and posted a defensive rating of -2 and totaled two penalty minutes.
Pirnak and the rest of the Oilers will be looking to rebound from their 5-3 loss last night to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs as they host the Fort Worth Brahmas tonight at 7:35 at the Tulsa Convention Center. Tulsa will then host the Oklahoma City Blazers tomorrow night at 7:35.
