Oilers Host New Mexico Tonight

TULSA, OK- The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League will be back in action tonight at 7:05 as they host the New Mexico Scorpions at the Tulsa Convention Center. Tonight will be the second meeting of the season between the Oilers and Scorpions and is the only time that New Mexico will make the trip to Tulsa.

On November 10th, the Oilers traveled to Albuquerque and defeated the Scorpions 3-2. Tulsa jumped out to a 3-0 early in the second period behind goals from Jamie Steer, Doug Pirnak, and Justin Ossachuk. New Mexico would rally back, scoring two second-period to make the score 3-2 at the end of two periods of play. The Oilers would hold on to post the 3-2 victory. Oilers goalie Rod Branch made 27 saves on the night.

Tulsa will embark on a grueling three-game road trip after tonight's game. The Oilers will make their first trip to Odessa on Thursday for a game against the Jackalopes, then will travel to Amarillo for a showdown against the Gorillas on Friday night, and will then play at New Mexico on Saturday. Tulsa will return home on Friday, November 29th when they host the Fort Worth Brahmas at 7:35 p.m.
