Oilers Aid Five Year Old Cancer Patient

The Tulsa Oilers and Oilers Ice Girls are pitching in--and putting in--to help a five year old cancer patient.

Aidan Goodner of Bixby was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer just one week after his fifth birthday. To help the family defray costs Oilers, including head coach Bruce Ramsay will take part in a golf outing at Scissortail Golf Club in Claremore on Saturday May 22nd. Oiler Ice Girls will also be handling several duties at the golf tournament.

There will be two shotgun start flights with the first flight at 8 a.m. and the second flight at 1:30 p.m.

"I have two young children, so anytime we can have the Oilers help out, we want to do it," Ramsay said. "I understand Aidan has some chemotherapy treatments ahead of him and we wish him the best with that."

The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL this season under head coach Bruce Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 32 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season.
