Ohio Tops Launch, 13-11

July 7, 2018 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) - Florida Launch News Release

BOCA RATON, FL.- In a very tight, even battle all night the Launch was unable to hold off the Ohio Machine, falling 11-13. The Ohio Machine now improve to 3-8 while the Launch are still in the playoff hunt with the final three games left ahead of them.

Dylan Molloy lead the team offensively with four goals and one assist. Austin Kaut was impressive on the other end of the field, stopping 23 of the 35 shots on cage.

With the faceoff battle and ground ball game even for both teams, one huge swing was right before halftime on a critical two-point score. The Launch were only behind by three goals at most in this game.

COACH MARIANO: "We've got to get to win number 5, and then win number 6, and then number 7. But, none of that happens if you don't get to win number 5," said Coach Mariano, "you do that by focusing on the details and doing the little things, which we were inconsistent on tonight."

CONNOR BUCZEK: "I just don't think we were in a rhythm today. They forced us to play a lot of individual ball. We did that, but we never really got into sync."
