Ohio Junior Blue Jackets announce roster for 2006-07 season

July 6, 2006 - United States Hockey League (USHL) - Ohio Junior Blue Jackets News Release

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the United States Hockey League today announced their roster for the 2006-07 season. A group of 25 players, including 15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders, will be on the roster when training camp begins in September. The selections were made following the club's first tryout camp, which took place June 28-30 and included 80 players.

"This is a great opportunity for these players to be a part of our inaugural season in the United States Hockey League," said team General Manager Don Harkins. "These kids worked extremely hard and have earned a great opportunity to continue to develop on the ice and in the classroom, while working towards their goals as elite student-athletes."

The Junior Blue Jackets will compete in a 60-game schedule, which begins in October. Season tickets for the 2006-07 season are $299 and are available by calling 1-800-NHL-COLS. The Junior Blue Jackets will open their preseason schedule in September and the regular season Oct. 7 at Nationwide Arena against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Game time is 7 p.m.
