Nebraska Danger News Release

GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA - The Nebraska Danger Indoor Professional Football Team continues to recruit for the 2013 season. Danger Head Coach Mike Davis is pleased to announce that the following players have signed for 2013:

CJ Gable, a 6'0, 210 RB from the University of Southern California. A 2005 Parade Magazine High School All-American, Gable was one of the most sought-after high school recruits in 2006. He became the first freshman to ever start an opener at running back for USC before suffering a season-ending injury in the third game of the 2007 season. Gable started 18 games for the Trojans in his career, while rushing for 1,296 yards including four 100-yard efforts. He is sixth on the all-time Trojan kick return chart with 1,010 career yards.

After completing his eligibility in 2010, Gable went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has signed as an undrafted free agent with both the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos. "To add a player like CJ is huge for us," Davis states. "He is explosive and can change the game every time he touches the ball."

Returners: Corey Surrency: WR, 6'6 220, Florida State University. One of the top Danger receivers in 2012, Surrency recorded 38 receptions for 455 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns in nine games played.

Maurice Mansfield: WR, 5'10 190, Hastings College. Mansfield returns to the Danger after a year off from football. In the Danger's 2011 inaugural season, Mansfield scored 16 touchdowns and 1,592 all-purpose yards

Marcus Barnett: WR, 6'2 185, University of Cincinnati. Barnett came to the Danger mid-season in 2012, bringing playing experience from the Omaha Beef. In two games with the Danger, he had five receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown.

Tavares Pressley: RB, 6'0 205, Florida State University. In six games with the Danger last season, Pressley rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns.

"Having these guys returning will allow us to go right into fine tuning our offense for the season. These guys know where they need to be on the field and they all have tremendous upside," Davis says.

The Danger will begin the 2013 season with a home opener against the Lincoln Haymakers of the CPIFL on Saturday, February 23. Kickoff at the Heartland Events Center is at 7:00 PM.
