Oakland Roots Sports Club Sign Bay Area Youth National Team Midfielder Ethan Kohler

Oakland Roots Sports Club announce the addition of Ethan Kohler ahead of the 2023 USL Championship season. Kohler was born and raised in Campbell, California in the South Bay and has featured for the United States U-19 National Team, most recently called up in April of 2022.
"Ethan is an incredibly exciting local young talent," said Roots Technical Director Jordan Ferrell. "His level of maturity for a young player and ability to control a match with the ball will allow him to step in and make an impact for us quickly."
The 17-year-old, most recently featured with San Jose Earthquakes II in MLS Next Pro making 11 appearances for the third division side in 2022. Kohler is a Laurel Springs High School Senior who will be graduating in the Spring of 2023.
