Oakland Roots Sports Club Gets Set for New Opening Game at Cal State University, East Bay

After a difficult past Saturday, Oakland Roots have found an alternate venue in the East Bay for this Saturday's game against New Mexico United. Cal State University, East Bay in Hayward, California will play host for what is now the team's Home Opener. With Oakland not having played last weekend, the team is still in search of their first win of the season as New Mexico comes to town. Fans can join us for the same Oakland Roots energy and experience this Saturday at CSU, East Bay.

What to expect at CSU, East Bay

Parking and Transportation:

Free parking will be available in Lot A and Lot B on CSU, East Bay campus. Please do not leave any valuables in your car while you attend an Oakland Roots match. To provide the community with the ability to travel more frequently between BART and CSU, East Bay, AC Transit provides service on the #60 bus from Hayward BART to CSUEB. Stadium Seating:

All ticket sections will be upheld during this game at CSU, East Bay. Please review the new Stadium Map to see where your seats are. Please note that GA, Mosaic, and I FLY OAK Mosaic+ seats are not reserved. All seats are first come first serve within each section.

Stadium Entrance:

The entrance into Pioneer Stadium will be on the North side of the parking lot. Please refer to the Stadium Map for more detail.

Clear Bag Policy:

One large clear bag - either a one-gallon Ziploc style bag or 14 ‚¬Â³ x 6 ‚¬Â³ x 14 ‚¬Â³ clear bag is acceptable. Small clutches 4.6" x 6.5" x 2" or smaller are also allowed.

Food and Drinks at the Game:

Food and beverages are available for purchase, but alcohol is not permitted for this weekend's match. One manufacturer-sealed plastic water bottle and one empty plastic or metal water bottle per person is allowed in the stadium. No glass bottles or outside beverages are allowed in the stadium.

Manage Tickets:

You will be able to access and manage your tickets digitally through your online account and/or the Official Oakland Roots Mobile App. Keeping fan safety in mind, we encourage all guests to view tickets, transfer, donate, and/or exchange tickets through the Oakland Roots Mobile App. Please refer to our mobile ticketing guide for helpful information. We also encourage fans to print their tickets ahead of the game or download them onto your phone prior to arriving at the venue.
