Oakland Roots Announces Relocation of Three Contests to Las Positas College

Oakland Roots SC today announced that its contests against Las Vegas Lights FC, Phoenix Rising FC and Tacoma Defiance on July 10, July 14 and July 17, respectively, have been relocated to nearby Las Positas College in Livermore, Calif., while the club's new playing surface is installed at Laney College for the remainder of its 2021 USL Championship home schedule.
The Championship also announced that the club's game against Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday, August 4 at Laney College would now air nationally on ESPN2 with kickoff set for 10 p.m. ET, replacing the July 10 game with Lights FC on its national broadcast schedule.
With the temporary shift for its next three home matches, the club is building bleachers and a fan experience zone to accommodate up to 1,200 fans, with members receiving complimentary food and soft drinks. In addition, the club will provide free buses for up to 200 fans to Las Positas College from Laney College and back for all members who wish to attend.
All three of Roots SC's contests at Las Positas College will also be available live on ESPN+.
