
NWSL Disciplinary Committee Suspends Seattle Reign FC Forward Merritt Mathias

CHICAGO - The NWSL Disciplinary Committee announced today that it has suspended Seattle Reign FC forward Merritt Mathias one game for major game misconduct, unsportsmanlike conduct detrimental to the League, in an incident involving FC Kansas City forward Shea Groom in the 12th minute of Seattle's match against FC Kansas City on June 25 at Swope Soccer Village.
Mathias will serve the suspension during Saturday's match against the Boston Breakers.
