PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey's National Team Development Program enters the weekend with a 38-22-4-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record across all competitions.

U.S. National Under-17 Team

The U.S. National Under-17 Team (13-14-2-2) will travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin to battle the Green Bay Gamblers on Friday (Jan. 18) and Saturday (Jan. 19).

Downing the Flying Aces

The U.S. National Under-17 Team won both of its home games against the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Friday (Jan. 11) and Saturday (Jan. 12).

In the first matchup of the series, the U17s earned a 1-0 victory after Owen Gallatin (Hugo, Minn) scored his first goal of the season with 5 minutes, 19 seconds remaining in the final frame. Drew Commesso (Norwell, Mass) made 23 saves and recorded his first career shutout. It also marked the first USHL shutout for Team USA since April 2018.

The U17s collected a 5-4 shootout win against the Flying Aces in the second game of the series. Commesso stopped both shootout opportunities for the Flying Aces and made a total of 28 saves, while Thomas Bordeleau (Houston, Texas) scored the game-winner to give the U17s their fourth point of the weekend.

U.S. National Under-18 Team

The U.S. National Under-18 Team (25-8-2-0) has the weekend off before hosting the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Friday (Jan. 25) at USA Hockey Arena.

Record-Breaking Night

The U.S. National Under-18 Team recorded an 11-3 victory against the Youngstown Phantoms on Tuesday (Jan. 15) at USA Hockey Arena. Cam York (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) scored three goals and added four assists in the game to earn the title as the lone NTDP player to record seven points in a single USHL game. Jack Hughes (Orlando, Fla.) scored once and recorded two assists to pass current Arizona Coyotes forward Clayton Keller (2014-16) for second on the NTDP's all-time career assists leaderboard with 119. Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored once and now ranks second on the NTDP's all-time goals list after passing Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane with 85.

NCAA College Series Recap

The U.S. National Under-18 Team ended its NCAA schedule with a 10-7 record against collegiate opponents. The U18s registered four wins over teams ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll Preseason Top 10, and their nine total wins over NCAA Division I opponents set a new NTDP record.

Fourteen U18 players had the opportunity to play against their future college teams, including Boston University, Harvard, Wisconsin, Michigan, Notre Dame, and North Dakota. Five U18 players recorded at least one point per game across the NCAA slate: Jack Hughes (4-13-17 in 11 GP), Alex Turcotte (Island Lake, Ill.) (6-6-12 in 8 GP), Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y.) (5-16-21 in 17 GP) Matthew Boldy (Millis, Mass.) (9-8-17 in 17 GP) and Cole Caufield (14-5-19 in 17 GP). Cameron Rowe (Wilmette, Ill.) and Spencer Knight (Darien, Conn.) recorded a combined .889 save percentage and 3.51 GAA in NCAA competition.
