BLAINE, Minn. (FEBRUARY 14, 2011) - The NSC Minnesota Stars announced the scheduling of the second annual Kids Day exhibition game at the NSC Stadium. The Stars will play an opponent to-be-determined at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, in a match geared toward Twin Cities youth.

In addition to the special match, the Stars will host an autograph session and photo opportunities on the field after the game. Tickets for Kids Day cost $5 for just the game or $10 for the match and a bagged lunch. Tickets for Kids Day and all NSC Minnesota Stars home matches are available by calling (763) 792-7355. Orders by fax or mail are also accepted. Download order form.

"Kids Day is a great opportunity for our team to interact with kids from all over the Twin Cities community and help spread a love of soccer. Our professional players can be very positive role models for today's youth," said Stars head coach and director of soccer operations Manny Lagos.

Several hundred children watched last summer as the Stars beat the Minnesota Kings on the exhibition field next to NSC Stadium. This year, the team will play the game inside the stadium to provide an authentic gameday atmosphere. A larger venue and increased planning time brings loftier goals for the 2011 event.

"We want this to be something thousands of kids look forward to as part of a summer rec program, daycare field trip or family outing," said Stars general manager Djorn Buchholz.

Adult season tickets start at just $135 for 14 league matches and one exhibition or Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match. Season tickets for youth age 17 and younger start at $75. Ticket representatives are available by calling (763) 792-7355.
