Richmond RiverDogs News Release


Well training camp is about to start. It is always an exciting time for everyone-It's Hockey Season! You can see the new Richmond RiverDogs take to the ice for the first time on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 10:00 am at SkateNation Plus on West Broad Street. It is always an exciting time for everyone, summer has ended and finally it is hockey season.

Just as a reminder, tickets are now on sale for the two Pre-Season games against the Roanoke Valley Vipers on Friday October 14, 2005 and October 15, 2005. Both games are at SkateNation Plus on West Broad Street with faceoff at 7:35 pm. Tickets are only $11 and you can order your tickets at the RiverDogs office, 601 E. Leigh Street, Richmond, or by calling (804) 225-PUCK (7825).

Also a reminder, we still have room for all you golfers out there. Our 1st Annual RiverDogs Golf Tournament is on Monday, October 10, 2005 and will be at the River's Bend Golf Club; 11700 Hogan's Alley Drive, Chester VA. We welcome single golfers as well as foursomes. If you are a single golfer we will place you with a team. All foursomes will be matched up with a RiverDog player. Even Razz will be there for all the fun. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and a banquet with silent auction following the tournament. Fees are $300 for a foursome, $100 for single. If you are not a golfer and just want to come to the banquet, the cost is $20 per person. For more information, contact the RiverDogs at (804) 225-PUCK (7825).

The Richmond RiverDogs home opener is Friday, October 21, 2005 when the team plays host to the Adirondack Frostbite, 7:30 pm at the Richmond Coliseum. Tickets are now available at the Coliseum Box office or by contacting Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com.
