Minnesota Thunder News Release
ST. PAUL, Minn. (Monday, August 28, 2006)- The Minnesota Thunder's exhibition game tonight (August 28) in Northfield, Minn. has been moved from Northfield High School to Spring Creek Park in Northfield located at 510 East Jefferson Parkway. This match against the Latino Select will be played on field #6 at 6:45 p.m.
The weather has caused damage to the Northfield High School field so Thunder and Northfield Soccer Association management have decided that the 'Show Must Go On.' All tickets that were purchased for the original date of August 25 are good for Monday's game.
Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs and seating since the field is not a stadium set up. For a map of the fields, please visit http://www.northfieldsoccer.org/fieldmap.htm
'We have been working on this event for quite a long time,' said Thunder general manager Djorn Buchholz. 'Although the weather has not cooperated as of late, we are confident that the intimate setting we will create tonight will be a memorable one. The Northfield Soccer Association has been great to work with and we have made a promise to them and their membership that the show must go on.'
The Thunder will be playing Latino Select, an all-star team composed of players from leagues in Faribault, Farmington and Northfield. All exhibition tickets are $10. For ticket information, visit www.mnthunder.com or call 651.917.TEAM.
