March 8, 2025 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Northern Arizona Wranglers News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Wranglers are excited to announce the signing of a new wide receiver to the 2025 roster, Khris (KV) Vaughn. (This signing is presented by Russell Investment Advisors.)

Vaughn (6'1 - 191 lbs.) enters his first season in the Indoor Football League with the Wranglers. Vaughn has acquired experience in various professional football leagues overseas. After his pro day in 2022, Vaughn earned the opportunity to play for the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes of the German Football League. After a productive season in Germany, Vaughn relocated to the X-League in Japan to play for the Nojima Sagamihara Rise. Most recently in 2024, Vaughn played for the Caudillos de Chihuahua of the LFA in Mexico. Vaughn's performance overseas has caught the attention of the Wranglers coaching staff, and signs with the team for his rookie season in the IFL. Vaughn has been a stellar target for his quarterbacks in every step of the way on his journey to the IFL.

Vaughn was a productive wide receiver during his collegiate career at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis.) During college, Vaughn hauled in 96 receptions for 1,454 yards and nine touchdowns. Vaughn's production on the field earned a 2019 All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention. Vaughn graduated from UC Davis in 2021 with a bachelor's degree with a double major in sociology and psychology.

Vaughn is originally from Redlands, Calif. where he attended Redlands East Valley High School. Vaughn received a scholarship offer to play college football in his home state of California. Regarding his inspiration to start playing football, Vaughn credited one of his childhood friends. Vaughn explained by saying, "One of my close friends played football and I remember when I saw him with a cast on his hand, he was trying to convince me to play football. I thought to myself, you just broke your thumb why would I do that?" Vaughn continued, "He talked me into it, and I started playing flag football before I had my first pair of cleats. I was running around playing football in Vans during seventh grade." Vaughn also said, "That same friend's dad gave me my first pair of cleats and I have played ever since, I will forever be indebted to him for my career and love of the game."

Vaughn continues to chase a professional career in football due to his love for the game and goal of playing in the NFL. Vaughn explained when he said, "My ultimate goal is to play in the NFL and play with the best of the best. Everybody that I talk to who is older reflects and wishes that they could still be playing football. I have no rush to stop playing." Vaughn also said, "I also love the brotherhood that comes out of the sport. I love the processes of building that bond and to mesh with the team. We all are working hard towards the same goal together with a fanbase behind us." Vaughn also added to this by saying, "Most people that don't play football also don't get that heavy sense of community and brotherhood that we do."

Vaughn is excited to join the Wranglers organization and for the opportunity to play in the IFL. Vaughn said, "As far as the IFL, I am looking forward to building a brotherhood and bond with the team and getting to be among American players where I understand the culture more than overseas." Regarding the Wranglers organization, Vaughn said, "I have heard a lot of good things about the organization, I know there will be a great fanbase behind me. I have heard the shoutouts for super fans in the broadcast and seen the passionate support for the Wranglers."

What can Wranglers fans expect from Vaughn as a player? Vaughn said, "I just love playing the game, I am not super big on I did this and that, look at me. I am a player who likes to put his nose down and just get to it." Vaughn expanded on this by saying, "I am dependable on and off the field, I work hard and lead by example as a pro. I will be a big playmaker who feeds off the energy of his teammates. I don't go overboard with celebrating during the game, I know anything can happen in the game and know not to let the highs be too high or the lows be too low." Vaughn closed his thoughts by saying, "I know the fans will like winning more than RAH-RAH energy, I am just excited to keep playing."
