Northern Arizona Wranglers News Release

Williams, 6'1", 195 lbs., brings more Indoor Football experience to the Wranglers, as he spent the 2021 season with the Bismarck Bucks. During his first game with the Bucks, Williams caught four passes, for 66 yards, and three touchdowns. Williams finished his six-game stretch in Bismarck with 16 receptions, for 221 yards, and six touchdowns. Williams was also an asset on special teams for the Bucks, tallying one successful two-point conversion, and six tackles, with three that resulted in one-point rouge scores for Bismarck.

Williams was set to play for the Tucson Sugar Skulls in 2022, and chose to step away from the game due to a personal family matter. Williams will make his return to the Indoor Football League with the defending champion Northern Arizona Wranglers in 2023.

Williams is 29 years old, but stated that he feels like "a rookie and a vet." Williams enters the 2023 season, with the Wranglers, with the same level of excitement as when he received his first opportunity with the Boston Blaze of the American Arena League in 2017.

Williams played running back during his college days at Dean College, in Franklin, Mass. Williams was named a Second Team All-Junior College running back in 2012. Williams aligned himself with local athletes in the Boston area who were getting opportunities with Indoor/Arena football teams, and began the transition to play wide receiver in 2015. Williams earned a roster spot, with the Blaze, within two years of practicing his new desired position: wide receiver. When the team transitioned to become the IFL's current franchise, the Massachusetts Pirates, Williams remained on their practice squad for 2018 and 2019.

Williams currently owns his own athletic apparel line, "Q6" or "Quicc6," in which the title refers to a quick touchdown. Williams was drawn to football, at an early age, due to the contacting and hitting involved with the sport. Williams marveled at the talented running backs in the NFL before him, watching highlights of players such as Terrell Davis and Walter Payton.

Williams is driven to continue playing due to his family and friends around him. Williams currently has two daughters, who are five and two. One of Williams' nephews recently got into playing flag football, and he looks up to Williams as a hero. Williams stated that he still has a hunger for the game, and carries a chip on his shoulder. Williams continues to motivate those around him, and shows that he never gives up, and he continues to represent Malden, Mass., which is the city he lives in currently.

Williams stated that he is a "high energy player," and that is ready to put on a show for Wranglers Nation. Williams' message to the fans is to, "Pick us up, don't give up on us even if we are down a few scores, bring the energy." Williams also expanded by stating, "We will always play fast, play hard, and play together."
