Northern Arizona Wranglers News Release

Hendrix, 6'4", 320 lbs., will be seeing his first game action, in the Indoor Football League, with the Wranglers. Hendrix enters his IFL career coming off an impressive five year run at the University of Central Arkansas, which is in Conway, Ark. Hendrix began his collegiate career as a starting offensive lineman, for the Bears, as a true freshman.

Hendrix was originally committed to play football at Angelo State University, in San Angelo, Texas. The Central Arkansas offensive line coach, Gunnar Boykin, reached out to Hendrix stating that he was in his city. Coach Boykin came to visit Hendrix while he was at work and made him a scholarship offer to play for the Bears. Hendrix had an immediate impact on the field for the Bears as a starter on the offensive line. During the following season, Hendrix earned a spot on the Third Team All-Conference squad as a sophomore. Hendrix also earned his spot on the All-Conference First Team, for the next two years. Hendrix also earned the recognition of being a Third Team All-American, as a senior, in 2022.

Hendrix is originally from Everman, Texas, where he attended Everman High School. Hendrix attributes his size, and his dad, as his early inspiration to start playing football. Hendrix stated, "I was always the biggest kid at my age, my dad placed me in pee wee football, and I had a lot of fun knocking people over." Hendrix added to this statement by saying, "I fell in love with game when I was young."

Hendrix discussed what continues to drive him to play today, as he said, "I don't know where I would be at today without the support of my family. I want to give back to them through effort and working hard."

When addressing Wranglers Country, Hendrix stated, "I am excited to hear the loud screams of the fans, and feel their energy." Hendrix also said, "I am excited to come to a winning program. I had a great conversation with Coach [Les] Moss, and I am excited to get in the IFL atmosphere to play."
