North Division Playoffs - Game 1

Nilson Teilon's two-run single as part of a four-run sixth gave North Shore a 6-5 lead over Quebec in Game 1 of their North Division Series. After Ryan Bicondoa set Les Capitales down in order in the top of the ninth, the Spirit had a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Quebec, which had won nine straight, led 5-1 after four innings of play thanks to RBI-singles by Goef Tomlinson, Buck McNabb and Olivier Lepine, and an error by North Shore's Mike Granger, which plated two. Yuri Sanchez made it 5-2 with his solo shot in the fifth and Travis Oglesby's two-run homer in sixth cut the deficit to one. Bryan Morse went eight innings for the Spirit and allowed five runs, two earned, on seven hits, while striking out 11 to earn the win. Keith Dunn, who earned All-League honors on Tuesday, took the loss after giving up six runs in 5 2/3 innings. Vic Davilla went 3-for-4 with a run scored for North Shore, while Benoit Emond was the only Quebec player to record two hits.
