Omaha, Neb. - North Texas SC tastes defeat for the first time in 2020 after falling to Union Omaha 1-0 at Werner Park.
Game Summary
First Half:
7' - Goalkeeper Luis Zamudio made the first save of the night after comfortably catching a goal-bound volley from the edge of the box.
10' - Forward Alex Bruce found the net with a volley from close range, but the goal was called back for a foul on Omaha's goalkeeper.
24' - Zamudio made a crucial diving save from close range to keep the game scoreless.
37' - Midfielder David Rodriguez attempted a clever free kick by shooting low under Omaha's wall, but the shot lacked power and was saved comfortably.
Second Half:
48' - Alex Bruce got on the end of Justin Che's looping cross but his downward header was saved.
61' - Zamudio was alert and made a smart save at his near post to block Omaha's attempt at goal.
65' - Zamudio made another good save, this time from an Omaha free kick right on the edge of North Texas' 18-yard box.
74' - Union Omaha opened the scoring through Evan Conway who beat Zamudio from close range after Ethan Vanacore-Decker's cross eluded two North Texas defenders.
