North Texas Fresh PG LaShon Sheffield Heads Back to Germany for Rest of Season

German team Paderborn Baskets has signed American player LaShon Sheffield for the rest of the season. Sheffield, a 25-year-old guard, playedfor the North Texas Fresh, and also in Nördlingen and Bayreuth in the German ProA in the last two seasons.

"Sheffield was the motor to the success of this franchise," stated Jay Bowdy, Owner fo the Fresh. "Just with him on the floor made this team play at a different level. My hat goes off to him on his personal endeavors and glad we were a stepping stone on his return back."

Sheffield left as the team leader in assist (11.6) and steals (3.1) and had an amazing 10.4 assist to turnover ratio. He has also been put in the running to recieve honors for All - ABA and All - Star selection even though he has departed from the Fresh.

North Texas Fresh have announced the release of their playoff roster for the remainder of the year.

Jay Bowdy - Team leader in Points (17.1), Assist (7.1), and Steals (2.7) on the active roster.
