CARY, N.C. - North Carolina FC travels to One Knoxville SC this Saturday, July 8, at 7:30 PM ET at Regal Soccer Stadium. Coming off of a winning weekend North Carolina had three team of the week members, the player of the week and still have their spot atop the USL League One table.

North Carolina FC took down in state rival Charlotte Independence this past weekend with a 2-0 win, giving them the clean sheet. With even possession in the first half, Oalex Anderson was able to put North Carolina on top for the lead at half. The lead was doubled after Garrett McLaughlin gave Anderson a perfect layoff pass to have a screaming ball off the cross bar into the net. Goalkeeper Tor Saunders made his North Carolina FC debut and received his first clean sheet.

Scouting One Knoxville SC

One Knoxville SC sits in the middle of the USL League One standings at seventh, and have had three draws in their last five matches. Before their bye week, Knoxville had a 2-2 draw with the Richmond Kickers. Knoxville currently has the least goals conceded on the year with only fourteen in the back of their net. One Knoxville looks to defeat North Carolina FC after taking a 1-0 loss against NCFC during their last meeting.

Players to Watch

North Carolina FC - Defender Chris Lue Young

Appearing in 11 of his thirteen games played, defender Chris Lue Young is stepping up on the back line. With his incredible speed and agility Lue Young works his way up the sideline to pressure other teams defensively, and drives the ball up for North Carolina offensively. With the most interceptions on NCFC with thirteen, Lue Young is bound to cause problems for One Knoxville SC on the right side.

One Knoxville SC - Defender Jordan Skelton

Jordan Skelton is a key component to the Knoxville defense. He is currently leading the league in clearances and has over a 50% tackle success rate. Skelton will be an integral part of keeping the North Carolina offense out of their defensive third. With over 614 successful passes and an 86% passing accuracy, you will see him distributing the ball to everyone on the field.
