
North Carolina Courage to Participate in 2017 NWSL College Draft in Los Angeles California

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Courage (formerly Western New York Flash) will participate in the 2017 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 3 p.m. ET at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention in Los Angeles.
"I am excited to be working alongside Paul Riley, Charlie Naimo and Aaran Lines at the 2017 NWSL College Draft," said North Carolina Football Club President and GM, Curt Johnson. "We will be assessing our needs and look forward to adding a few very talented players to our roster."
North Carolina Courage has the second, seventh and eighteenth selections in the draft. The natural draft order is based upon the teams' performance at the conclusion of the 2016 regular season. However, teams can make trades to improve their rosters, and draft selections are often included in such transactions. Host Mark Rogondino, analyst Aly Wagner, analyst Jen Cooper and reporter Ashleigh Ignelzi will call the College Draft live from the JW Marriott, providing fans will the latest news, information and insight on each selection. They will also be joined on the live stream by the draft picks, NWSL head coaches, and NWSL general managers as well as several special guests.
