Noah's Gift 5K Teen Chairs Excited About Leadership Opportunity

HERNANDO, Miss. - The Teen Committee for the annual Noah's Gift Memorial 5K Run- Walk - Skate named Bethany Bobo and Brie Presley as chairmen to its 5-member executive committee.

They join chairmen Nathan Barron from Olive Branch High School and Blake Lowrie of DeSoto Central High School.

"The Noah's Gift 5K Memorial gets teenagers involved in a positive activity," said Bobo, a sophomore at Olive Branch High. "It gives them an opportunity to serve their community and helps young people strive for their dreams."

Presley, a Hernando High School junior, agreed.

"The Noah's Gift 5K is a great opportunity for teenagers to give back to the community by being involved in leadership, planning and actively participating in the work at hand," Presley said. "The Noah's Gift 5K fund helps teens get one step closer to their dreams and goals in life."

The Noah's Gift Endowment Fund, housed at The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi, was established to inspire and reward deserving young people with the gift of an extraordinary experience that was of interest to 16-year old Noah Costa at the time of his death.

This year's race is October 26, 2013 in Hernando, Miss. with activities starting at 10:30 a.m. The skaters lead the 5K at 10:55 a.m. with runners/walkers following at 11:00 a.m. Challenge games will be held on the Maddox Foundation lawn after the race.
