FARGO - Jesse Hoorelbeke hit a Northern League-record tying four home runs to lead the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to a 14-3 win over the Edmonton Cracker-Cats at Newman Outdoor Field.

Hoorelbeke homered in each of his first four at-bats, totaling eight RBIs. The four home runs in a single game tied a Northern League record that was achieved twice previously - by Schaumburg's Harry Berrios on June 21, 2000; and by Winnipeg's Ryan Jones on August 8, 2000.

Hoorelbeke homered in three consecutive innings from the second to the fourth. Hoorelbeke hit first home run came in the second inning after Eric Kofler reached on a single. Hoorelbeke hit his second home run, a solo shot over the center field wall in the third, and hit his third round-tripper in the fourth inning with Richard Austin on first.

In the sixth inning, Hoorelbeke struck a three-run homer. In his final at-bat in the eighth inning, Hoorelbeke grounded out to third base.

GARY - Greg Bicknell tossed eight strong innings and Brandon Jones hit a three-run home run to lead the Kansas City T-Bones to a 4-2 victory over the Gary SouthShore RailCats At U. S. Steel Yard.

Jones gave Kansas City a 3-0 lead in the second inning when he sent a long drive over the left field wall for his fifth home run of the season.

Bicknell (2-4) yielded just four hits, including Andy Rohleder's two-run homer in the fifth inning, over eight innings to record his second win. Bicknell retired 11 consecutive batters over the first five innings, and pitched out of trouble in both the fifth and sixth innings when the RailCats advanced the tying run into scoring position.

Eddie Pearson hit a long home run to right in the eighth inning, his fifth of the season, to give Kansas City a 4-2 lead, and the RailCats did not push a runner past first base the rest of the way. Byron Embry pitched the ninth for his sixth save.

JOLIET - John Lackaff's RBI-single in the bottom of the tenth inning lifted the Joliet JackHammers to a 4-3 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Silver Cross Field.

J.D. Foust led off the tenth with a single, moved to second on Dennis Blackmon's walk, and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Blake Gill. After Mike Goss grounded out, Winnipeg brought in closer Darwin Soto to relieve Josh Kite (0-1), but Soto yielded Lackaff's single to left field that plated the winning run.

Gill and Goss each had three hits for Joliet. The JackHammers took a 3-1 lead after four innings, but Aaron Mendoza's two-run homer in the sixth tied the game for Winnipeg.

Joliet reliever Derrick Ellison (1-1), signed prior to the game after being released by Schaumburg the day before, pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win.

CALGARY - Eric Cole had five hits and three Schaumburg Flyers drove in four runs apiece as the Flyers pounded the Calgary Vipers 20-1 at Foothills Stadium.

Cole batted 5-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBIs, including a run-scoring single in the first inning that ignited the Flyers' 24-hit attack.

Nelson Gord batted 4-for-7 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBIs, including an RBI-double in the third inning and a three-run homer in the fifth. Ben Van Iderstine and Ryan Walker also had 4 RBIs in the game.

The Flyers scored six times in both the third and fifth innings.

Flyers starter Kenny Durost (2-1) pitched seven innings, yielding one run on eight hits whiel striking out nine, to earn his second win.
