NJ/NY Gotham FC Reveals "Colossal Kit" Ahead of 2021 Season

Harrison, NJ - NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) unveiled their new primary and secondary kits for the 2021 season, nicknamed the Colossal Kit. This season will be the club's first competing as Gotham FC after undergoing a complete brand transformation from the previous moniker, Sky Blue FC.

The primary kit features an all-black design with a sky blue, forward slash across the center which represents the Hudson River. Flowing between New Jersey and New York, the Hudson River is a visual representation of the "/" in NJ/NY and the home of the Statue of Liberty, which is represented in the new club crest.

The secondary kit features the same design but in an all-white base. Each kit will be formally known as "Colossal/Black" and "Colossal/White".

The Nike branded kits include the mark "EST 2007" on the bottom right side, paying tribute to the fact that Gotham FC is the nation's longest-standing women's professional soccer club. The words "Stronger Together" appear on the inside of the neck as a nod to the club's representation of New Jersey and New York.

For the first time, the kits will feature international technology company Avaya (NYSE: AVYA) as the front-of-jersey partner. A global leader in solutions to enhance and simplify communications and collaboration, Avaya has signed a multiyear sponsorship deal to serve as Gotham FC's primary sponsor.

Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) returns for 2021 as the Official Health Care, Athletic Training and Physical Therapy partner of Gotham FC - a role it's served for many seasons. HMH will be featured on the lower back of the jerseys, below the team numbers.

Long-standing club partner New Jersey Manufacturer's Insurance (NJM Insurance) will reside on the upper back of the jersey, above the player surnames. The NWSL's official banking partner, Ally, appears on the right sleeve.

Pre-orders for the Colossal/Black Kit are available on Gotham FC's online store. Jerseys will be customizable with any Gotham FC player name and number. The Colossal/White Kit will become available for purchase at a later date.

NJ/NY Gotham FC will begin play in the NWSL Challenge Cup tournament on Wednesday, April 14th at 7 p.m. ET when the club travels to Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida to take on the Orlando Pride.

The Challenge Cup will be followed by a 24-game regular season. Tickets for Gotham FC home games at Red Bull Arena will go on sale soon.
