Nighthawks top Vision on the road
February 26, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maryland NightHawks News Release
Atlanta, GA. Despite the absence of two starters, the Nighthawks defeated the Atlanta Vision 112-99 Friday night in Atlanta. With Kevin Robinson and Dennis Edwards out of the line-up due to personal and health reasons respectively, the rest of the team more than made up for their absence in the team's final regular season game.
"Everyone stepped up and contributed in some way," explained Brad Melton, whose team featured 7 different players scoring in double figures. "We ran effectively and worked the offense well for percentage shots." The Nighthawks increased the lead to 40 early in the third period, before the Vision put together a respectable run, before finally falling 112-99.
The Nighthawks finish the regular season 16-9 and have assured themselves a home playoff game on Sunday, March 6th. For more information, email bernduck@juno.com or call 301 758-1090 or visit www.abalive.com.
