
Nighthawks Season Opener Washed Away

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI - Tuesday's season-opening contest between the Upper Valley Nighthawks and the Ocean State Waves has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, June 17 at Maxfield Sports Complex in White River Junction. The teams will play two seven-inning games, with the first pitch of Game 1 scheduled for 4 PM. Game 2 will follow at approximately 6 PM.
The Nighthawks have Wednesday off, and will now open the season with two road games (North Adams and Keene) before their home opener on Saturday, June 9th at 6:30 PM. Opening Night will be Magnet Schedule Giveaway sponsored by Mascoma Savings Bank where all attending will receive a 2018 magnet schedule. The next night, Sunday June 10th will be Princess & Pirate Night. Kids and adults are encouraged to channel their inner Cinderella or Blackbeard and join us for a night of fun. There will be Disney princesses on hand for pictures and a treasure hunt.
