RALSTON, NE - The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced today the All-USHL second team recipients. Winners for the All-USHL teams are determined by a vote of League general managers.

Nash Nienhuis was named to the All-USHL 2nd Team honor. Nienhuis split the award with Defenseman Mason Lohrei (GB), Goalie Jaxson Stauber (SF), and Forwards Matthieu De St. Phalle (CHI), Trevor Kuntar (YT), and Dylan Jackson (DUB).

"I'm so honored to have been named to this league-wide award," Nienhuis said. "I couldn't have done this with the help of my Coaches and most of all my teammates."

Nienhuis, who was in his third USHL season, started the year with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. While in Muskegon, Nash appeared in 17 games in the 2019-2020 season and recorded 9 assists. Nienhuis was traded to the Lancers and played in 27 games where he totaled 23 points (2G, 21A).

"Nash, simply put, just did a great job for our hockey club," General Manager and Head Coach David Wilkie stated. "From the moment he joined our team, we knew that he was a great fit. He changed our puck-moving dynamics and he showed up every day to get better and work. Most importantly his buy-in and commitment to the team helped our group more than I could ever put into words to accurately portray his positive impact on our team this season."

Nienhuis will be attending Michigan State University this fall after closing out his USHL career with 154 games and 54 points.
