Nico Gross Invited to Team Switzerland's U20 National Junior Team Summer Camp

Oshawa, ON - Swiss Hockey announced today that Oshawa Generals defenceman Nico Gross has been invited to Team Switzerland's U20 National Junior Team Summer Camp roster leading up to the announcement of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship final roster.

Gross joined the Generals for the 2017-2018 season, collecting four goals and 10 assists in 58 games as a rookie. He had a strong sophomore season during the 2018-19 campaign, recording three goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 56 games. He represented his country internationally at many levels, most recently in his third appearance at the IIHF World Junior Championship in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia where he was an assistant captain helping lead the team to a fourth place finish in the tournament. He has a decorated international career representing Switzerland at the U16, U18 and Ivan Hlinka tournaments in the past.

Property of New York Rangers who selected him in the 4th round, 101st overall, Gross attended their development and main camps in 2018 before return to their development camp for a second time this past June.

The summer camp will run from July 18th-31st in Vieruma?ki, Finland.
