Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release
DANBURY, CT - Nick Rogers ('02) made an immediate impact for the NA3HL Jr. Hat Tricks when he joined the team on Oct. 9th.
In his first three games for the Jr. Hat Tricks, Rogers scored five goals. Overall, Rogers scored 27 goals and 44 points in 36 games for Danbury this season.
His performance in 2021-22 has led to a tender for the 2022-23 NAHL Jr. Hat Tricks. NA3HL head coach Tyler Noseworthy beamed about Rogers' ability to show up in big moments.
"That's well-deserved and he was one of my best guys all year," Noseworthy said. "Fast-forward to the playoffs and big-time players step up their game when it matters. His game will translate at the next level."
In the playoffs, Rogers scored six goals in five games. Of the Hat Tricks' three playoff wins, Rogers scored the winning-goal in two of them and added three assists along the way.
Rogers joins the NAHL Jr. Hat Tricks team in the type of move the organization hopes to become the norm.
"It's really the direction we're trying to move here," Noseworthy said. "I think it's huge for the younger guys that still have some time to develop and work their way into that type of situation, I think it's certainly eye-opening for those guys."
