Niagara Daredevils News Release

St.Catharines, Ontario - Sep 19, 2005 The Niagara DareDevils announced today plans to open their Friday and Saturday Open Tryout to the General Public and the Media. The tryouts will run from 6pm-10pm on Friday September 23rd, and 10am- 3pm on Saturday September 24th at Stamford Collegiate in Niagara Falls, ON.

The decision was made to open the tryouts after the overwhelming response seen by the Rochester Razorshark at their open tryouts last Saturday. "We were excited to see the kind of response Rochester received on Saturday." said Director of Business Operations Matt Scobel "The fans really came out to support the team and see what the RazorSharks had in store for November. We've invited Rochester to Niagara, and hope they will see the same kind of response here."

The DareDevils also announced plans to guarantee a minimum of two invites from the open tryout to October's Veterans Camp. "We want to ensure that everyone knows that we are taking a serious look at these players." said Coach Otis Hailey "We'll bring in more players (to veterans camp) if the talent dictates, but we know it will be a battle for those two spots".

Application and Waiver forms can be found by going to http://www.niagaradaredevilsbasketball.com The cost of the camp is $100 if registration is taken in advance and $135 if taken at the door. For more information to to register, please contact Matt Scobel at 905-401-2740 or email at mscobel@niagaradaredevilsbasketball.com
